About Arya

Adoption Fee: $200
Norwegian Forest Cat / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

My beautiful baby Arya needs a new home. Unfortunately, she does not get along with our other female cat. She is wonderful but better suited as the only cat or with 1 other cat. We are fostering a Siamese/Burmese female and they get along fine (she will be available for adoption once she has had all her shots/spay/etc). We have tried over 1.5 years to get the two to get along, unfortunately it has not happened. She gets along fine with my Ragdoll boys but prefers to do her own thing. Despite, being a mix (we think). Please google 'Norwegian Forest' Cat. She has almost all traits and behaviors listed including the fur type (water proof upper, super fluffy warm under coat). We would prefer someone to adopt her who is familiar with the breed and the breeds needs. She's a natural huntress and built like a little tank. She loves to climb/jump, we have given her the name Parkour Cat. She needs to have a big back yard to her disposal as well as a very sturdy cat tree. She's 9.5-10 lbs & when she gets her zoomies, unless the cat tree is weighted or heavy it will shake and/or tip. She is an amazing girl; very confident. She does not hide when friends or strangers visit. She adores all her humans. Where as most cats pick a specific person, she loves us both all the same (this is normal for her breed). She's curious and likes to see what you're doing from time to time. She will greet you at the door when you get home. She picks a specific area, and no matter when you stop by, she will give you all her attention. She likes to roll on her back, it's her way of telling you to give her attention. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her and it was a very difficult decision. We can tell she is stressed and don't want there to be negative consequences to her health. If you are interested, tell me about yourself, your family, your living environment, and why she would be a good fit for your family. She's not suited for very small children. She does not scratch or bite, but if you're playing with her when she's rolling, she will grab your arm and play bite as if you were a cat also. She is very smart and can be taught not to do that if necessary. We have not had a problem with it but have discouraged her if she started to play too rough. She was adopted at approximately under a year old, she is approximately 3 years old now. She's very healthy and we can give you all the info of what she eats, what litter we use (she currently uses a Litter Robot and loves it). Requirements: Sturdy Cat Tree, Large Back Yard, familiar with breed. Please provided requested info noted above. Please email first. Thank you.
