About

This is Lucas. A sweet and loyal boy eager to please. He has an abundance of energy that needs to be worn out on a daily basis. He does good with other dogs, so the dog park is always a good option. He would do best and be happiest on a farm/ranch (put him to work) or with a very active family. He can be slightly destructive when he is bored and has energy to spare (paper/mail left out where he can reach it). He is house broken and does very good on a leash. He listens well off leash. He is protective of the family and house. He loves to be loved, he's in heaven when he is getting his belly rubbed. He will play fetch with a frisbee, a kong frisbee is recommended. He will play with a tennis ball, but he loses interest quickly. He loves stuffed squeaky toys, he likes to take the fluff out. He will play 'keep away' with his toys. He doesn't play tug-of-war, unless another dog prompts it. Even then, its not his favorite game to play. He is kennel trained, it is his safe place, his comfort zone. He is cautious with new people. After time around newcomers, he warms up and won't just walk circles around them, trying to figure them out, he will become social and welcome them every time he sees them. (He warms up to ladies a little faster than men). He tolerates his ears being touched. He does have seasonal allergies, he gets a rash on his belly. One or two benadryl in his food a day until the rash is gone has worked so far. Natural ingredients is recommended for feeding. He is great with kids. Cats are unknown, we don't have any to expose him.
