About String Cheese

'Hello pal! My name is String Cheese and I am looking for a brand new family. I am an 11 month old pup that came to SVASC when my dad ended up not having a place to stay. It's taken me quite a bit to settle into the swing of things, but I'm getting there and now I think that I might be ready to find a home. When you come to meet me, you will need to take things very slowly and if possible, I would really like for you to come visit with me a few times before taking me home. I can be very slow to warm up to new people and like to take things at my pace. Once I get to know you, I am the most loving dog and just want to be with you. I have been making so many improvements since coming to the shelter and really think that I'm ready to find a family. I love to run and play in the yard and am very interested in playing fetch, though I haven't quite figured how exactly how to yet. I can often be found following staff around wherever they go. I also really love cuddles and will just nose my way right into your lap for them! Something a little funny about me is how I walk; you'll definitely notice it when you come to see me. I walk a little sideways and wobbly; honestly, it doesn't bother me much and the vet doesn't think that I have any pain, so it must just be neurological. Because of my walk, though, I would like a home without so many stairs because they can be pretty hard on me. Other dogs are okay by me, as long as they are bigger than me. Small dogs are fine and all, but I am just a tad too rough with them. If you have another dog, please plan to bring them with you to meet me, so that I can get to know them as well. My previous owner said that I have lived with cats in the past, as well, but SVASC hasn't had the chance to cat test me just yet. Maybe they will if you ask? I would do best in an adult only home, as well, please. My adoption fee is $125 to an approved adopter.
