About Melinda and tiny

Hey Everyone!!!! It's time to meet Melina and Tiny! They are a mother and son bonded pair that we will be adopting out together. Melinda is approximately 9 years old and Tiny is 6 months old. Melinda's back story is a sad one. She came in to the rescue pregnant, from Ship Rock, NM. She was in very rough shape when we got her - she had wounds all over her body and her face was swollen with a severe infection. She was with some very cruel owners before who allowed her to have several litters, but cruelly killed all of the pups as soon as they were born. This was the first time Melinda was able to actually raise her pups. She was so sad when we got her, it was as if she knew what was coming. But once she gave birth and go to raise the litter, she became the proudest mom ever! Melinda got to keep all of her pups for 8 - 9 weeks before they went to foster. However, Tiny was still - well, tiny, and we decided to give him more time with his mom. He ended up getting very sick and we were actually afraid he wasn't going to make it. We had to separate them for a short time so Melinda wouldn't get sick, but they were miserable without each other. We put him back together and sure enough, Tiny got better - his mother's love was all he needed to get better. Now - this is where life gets better for both of them. Because they are so bonded, and really need each other, we have decided that it's best for them to stay together. We KNOW that their perfect family is waiting for them and ready to give them both the life they deserve.
