Meet Wendy, an adorable one-year-old, 43 lb. shepherd/terrier mix. Sadly she has not had a great start to her life. She was found abandoned in a deep ditch on the side of the road in rural North Carolina with a bag of chicken. Despite her past, this girl is always so happy and loves people! Wendy is a sweet and energetic pup who loves her walks, being outside, running around the yard, and playing with any type of toy she can get her paws on. If you're looking for an active companion for your hiking adventures, this may be the pup for you! She plays a great game of fetch or tug-of-war and attends doggie daycare a few days a week, which she loves! When she's not busy having fun, Wendy is a cuddly lovebug who just wants to be next to her person. She knows 'sit,' is food motivated, walks well on a leash, and is both house and cratetrained. She's a great listener and a very trainable dog. She is not much of a barker, even when passing other people and dogs while on walks. Wendy is good with other pups, would be fine with children, and will make a wonderful family dog! You must have a fenced yard to be considered for her adoption. Her adoption fee is $350 and she is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed.
