About Turbo (east)

Hi, my name is TURBO - ID#A4331172. I am a neutered male, white and brown American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Mar 05, 2021. Does the name Turbo make you think of a pup with a LOT of energy? Well, being a younger fella, he certainly has a zest for life, but Turbo isn't all silliness. He's a very good boy he enjoys treats, attention and hanging with his people. Some recent notes about Turbo: 3/7/2021 EVALUATION Jumping up, energetic in kennel; difficult to place leash due to energy level - dog attempted to push out, jumped up, repeatedly placed paws in loop of leash; once leashed, dog pulled hard to yard; affiliative, energetic during attempts to collar; brought into yard on leash without fence greeting - body tall/forward, tail flagging, assertive during interactions; growled briefly when social male dog approached to greet; stiff throughout; did not drop leash; affiliative with the lead. 3/20/2021 WALK Per volunteer - Pulled from front. On approach to kennel- dog laying on bed. Once he saw leash- became excited, jumped up, tail wags. Allowed leash placement. Strong pull on exit and on most of walk- toward end of walk tired out and pulled less. Allowed petting- leaned into my leg with petting. Took treats gently. Easy return. Such a sweet handsome boy.
