Meet Brownie! Brownie is a 5-6 month old mix breed female born in rescue on 11/30/2020. Mom is a gorgeous black Lab named Gypsy, Dad unknown but based on Brownie he might have had some shepherd in him. *** Special needs- Brownie has an old injury from Birth. Her rear leg was crushed and shattered into pieces in the birthing process. Unfortunately it was undetected until she was old enough to start walking around about 6-7 weeks old and at that time the bones had healed improperly. This left Brownie with one leg that is slightly deformed and shorter than the others. Since she is able to use the leg amputation is not necessary. She will most likely have joint issues as she gets older and most likely early arthritis; both of which can be managed with medication and/or supplements. She is crate trained and House trained. She plays well with other dogs and doesn't skip a beat. She doesn't know she is any different than any of the other dogs. He has not been introduced to cats and there are no children in her foster home. We have some amazing babies waiting for their forever families to find them. All of our babies are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative or have been treated for heartworm. Due to Covid-19 we are not holding our normal Petco Adoption Days. Instead we are scheduling one on one meet and greets with approved applicants. If you see a dog you are interested Please fill out an application. Once approved we will schedule a meet and greet with the dog/dogs you are interested in. Meet a greets are held outside (when the weather permits) by appointment only and with a limited number of people with everyone wearing masks. We are unable to process out of state adoptions at this time.
