We had to re-home this male Bluetick Coonhound a little over a year ago. He went to a coonhunter about an 1 -1 1/2 hours from us. Yesterday evening we received a call from Home Again Pet Recovery that he'd been found in Westel, TN. Evidently, the new owner never changed the owner registration with them like we said he needed to so, they contacted us. Westel is about 30 miles from where we re-homed him. She said he had on a reflective orange collar but no tags, looked well fed and in good shape except for lots of ticks. It's very likely that they were in that area (very rural) coon hunting and the dog got lost/left. I have been unable to get a hold of the new/re-home owner and the lady who currently has him cannot keep him, nor can we. Even though in a technical sense he is no longer our dog, I feel a responsibility to get him into a good location. This dog came from a Purple Ribbon Champion Line Breeder in SC. He's an 'old-fashioned' neutered male, and big. He runs 90-105 lbs depending on how active he's kept and he needs LOTS of activity to help his behavior. He is now almost 4.5 years old. Message me for more details. He is now 4 1/2 years old. Large Bluetick, around 96-102 lb from Purple Ribbon Champion Line. Needs re-homed quickly
