About Kona

Kona Long hair 3/2015 Approx DOB Brown Tabby and White Kona's story is a true Cinderella story. See, Kona was found outside, not fixed, with no home. She had litter after litter of kittens and spent her time caring for and raising babies- sometimes nursing and raising kittens that weren't even hers! She herself never had the chance to be a kitten. This was a rough life and it took a toll on her body. When she was trapped she had short hair and a bushy tail. Since being fixed and having better nutrition, her coat has grown out and she's actually a long haired cat! Once she became healthier we got her multiple dental cleanings and extractions. She now has a beautiful shiny 'smile'! She also received a bloodwork up that told us she is doing great inside and out! When Kona first came she was really shut down. However, she slowly began showing signs that she might be able to be trust and enjoy human companionship. She has evolved into such a sweet cat! She LOVES to be pet for hours . She also loves to play and has this cute head wiggle when she's about to pounce. Ball toys and squeaky mice are her favorite! She's living the life of a princess now, but is ready to move up to queen status in her own home. Kona is a very gentle, quiet and docile cat who needs a home to match- quiet with no loud, fast moving tots. Teens that have a gentle way with animals and adults are more her speed! Kona lives in a foster home with other cats and gets along quite well with everyone. She is independent though and prefers human companionship. She will be ok living with other cats, she might not be best friends with your feline friend and May ask you give her the lion's share of your attention! Kona has been meeting lots of new people lately and is friendly with everyone she meets. Since we think she's never been in a home before, Kona may need time to adjust before her light shines bright. She needs a loving adopter who is willing to be patient while Kona acclimates to her new home. Don't be offended if she sticks her tongue out- it's her signature look and its cute as can be!
