About Blue

Blue, female husky mix, currently about 45 pounds, puppy about 6-7 months old. *Very sweet and affectionate! *Housebroken! *Kennel-trained! *Great with other dogs - very playful! Blue has had it rough. We don't know how or why, we just know she is a bit submissive and timid, but her puppy self is starting to shine through with some tender loving care and friends to play with. She does very well with other dogs, hasn't been around cats. She is a very AFFECTIONATE pup and loves to get pets and scratches and be right where you are, her favorite place is curled up at your feet. We are working on housebreaking (no accidents as long as you get her out frequently and watch her when she's inside), crate-training (she's doing quite well, but will howl a bit if she's lonely, so best crated where you can shout out a comforting 'it's okay' so she knows you're there.) She is crated when left in the home, and does fine (no howling) as long as she can see the other four-legged residents. Blue will need just the right patient person to help her overcome whatever she's been through. Doggy friends help with her timidity, but she is very protective over her food, so needs to be fed separately. We are working on this as well, and will provide the support you need to continue to do so, she's already doing so much better. Blue is very high energy, so will need a home with a yard and another playful pup. Since she is a husky mix, you will need a minimum 6 foot fence.
