Thief is a wonderful Australian Cattle Dog. He is 7 years old and has been with his current owners for 5 years. Thief loves playing fetch and will play as long as you can throw. He knows a lot of tricks, and even was champion at a dog trick contest a few years back! He is eager to please. Like typical Australian Cattle Dogs, he gets very attached to one or two people and wants to be with them whenever possible. He typically goes to the park or for a walk once or twice a day, and this level of activity keeps him pretty happy if he can be with us during other parts of the day. Thief's owners love him and are sad to part with him. However, after the birth of their first child, they are finding that Thief does not do well with small children. With a toddler and another baby on the way, they feel that he would do better in a home that does not have young children. Thief would thrive in a home with someone who has time to spend with him and play and that does not have small children. He prefers his people over other animals, but he currently lives with a cat and does fine with him. He has lived with other dogs previously and does well with them once they establish who is in charge. Thief will make a fantastic dog for someone who can take the time to love him and build attachment with him. The decision to re-home him has been very difficult, and we are hoping to find the perfect fit for this special dog. Adoption Fee: $75 donation to Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue
