About Hatchet

Hatchet is a beautiful, and loyal dog. He loves to play, especially playing fetch! He has lived with us since October and he has made great strides, but he still has a LOT of puppy in him. He would be great with older kids or a single or couple. He needs room to run to get ALLLLL the energy out �%9D%A4��%8F. He is extremely territorial and overprotective of that territory and the people within it that are his. He is a great guard dog, but we care for our ailing parents and grandparents and since they don't live in our home, he regards them as strangers, and thus that makes things difficult. As a bloodhound, he is fantastic at tracking, and with the right training would make a fantastic hunting partner! He is truly a fantastic dog, but in my smaller home with smaller children and older family members, he is not the right fit. Please contact me with any questions!
