ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Apollo James is a 6 month old puppy who has found himself a little down on his luck. We were told by the family who surrendered him that he is a German Shepherd/French Bulldog mix. Yes, we have lots of questions about that too but we do know for sure his Shepherd traits look and behavior wise, are definitely there! He was surrendered when his family no longer had time for him, the victim of the infamous Christmas puppy phenomenon. Apollo has been hanging out in a foster home while he awaits the right home who will help mold him into the perfect canine citizen. Apollo currently lives with a 7 year old child. He is NOT good with cats as he chases the cat in his foster home and obsesses over her. In his defense, he's never been around them before, so maybe just some redirection and desensitization will be beneficial for that. He does love to play with other dogs although it can take him a few moments to realize they friends and not out to get him. He knows how to sit and is VERY food motivated. He would be a great candidate for puppy classes or even agility courses! Apollo thinks crate training is awesome. Give him a toy or a Kong with peanut butter and he's excited to go in at this point. Potty training he has down pat. He goes to the door and sits or paws at the door if he has to go out. He goes out often, but he's still a little guy so that's understandable. Apollo James has an adoption fee of $350 and that includes his neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm testing and prevention, as well as flea and tick prevention.
