Our Rossco is the epitome of the big clumsy goofy overgrown 'puppy'! He is a sweet lover-boy, but also can be a bit puppy naughty at times......he is still working on his manners with getting too excited and jumping while playing. He is very well potty-trained though, and never destroys furniture or other items in the home. He really needs a happy new home with a fenced yard that he can run around in to get his energy out. We can't seem to get him to play a good ballie game, but he is happy to grab a toy and toss it around the yard to entertain himself. He has the most fun just tearing through the yard, jumping as many steps at one time as he can, and wiping out on the deck because he can't slow himself down fast enough. Rossco has been in a home with children, but he can be very over-protective with them. And he doesn't realize how big he is so he can easily knock a younger child over while playing. He can not go to a home with cats or other smaller animals, and he has shown a little aggression toward some of the other male dogs in the rescue. His ideal home would be with loving parents willing to give him the training he needs to become the great dog we know he can be. A home with no small children to knock over, no smaller animals or male dogs, and definitely no cats. He is just a big silly-hearted kid who loves to be held and cuddled, but also needs some training to help guide him out of his puppy behavior and into being a great adult doggie. With a little work and a whole lot of love, Rossco has the potential to be a truly great kid.
