About Taco

If you're looking for both a playful pup and a cuddly companion, Taco is your guy! He's a young, twelve-pound Chihuahua mix with soft brown eyes and lots of affection to spare. Although he was picked up as a stray, Taco has spent the past few weeks working on his home and leash manners. He is crate-trained, house-trained, and loves his walks, although he gets excited when encountering new people, dogs, and birds. Taco is at that puppy stage where he loves to put anything in his mouth (especially your socks!) so it's best to let him nap in his crate when he's unsupervised. He loves to play with toys and will happily engage in a game of fetch, or amuse himself by tossing the toys and 'fetching' them himself! His foster mom lets Taco sleep next to her in bed and snuggle next to her on the sofa, but he's also happy sleeping in his crate and snuggling on a comfy dog bed. Taco is wary with new people but warms up quickly with a few high-value treats (chicken, anyone?) It's unknown how he gets along with other pets or children. He definitely�%A0loves to have attention and play time, but he is also happy to snuggle next to me while I'm working on my computer. He is very affectionate, and I think he would be especially good for someone who wants a companion dog or lap dog. Handsome and cheerful, Taco can't wait for a forever home where he can show you all the love he carries in his little heart!
