Meet Bentley! Age: 2 years. Breed: Golden retriever mix. Size: 60lbs. Training: crate & leash trained, doing well with house training. He does pull so does best on a harness. Good with dogs? Yes, But No Cats. Good with men/women/kids? Yes, he does great with a 2 & 6 year old in his foster home. Personality: friendly, outgoing but also likes to relax. Reason for rescue: unclaimed stray. Benntlet is neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Bentley tested heartworm positive. He will be sent home with a year supply of heartworm preventative along with medication. Based on our vets recommendation, he is being treated with a method called the slow kill treatment. He takes a monthly Ivermectin based heartworm preventative until a negative test, usually within a year. Please feel free to research and talk this over with your vet.
