About Mozzie

Guess what folks!!! Big news! MOZZIE IS READY FOR ADOPTION! He's a 3-4 year old pit mix. He's completely people, dog, & cat friendly. He has past training and has very good loose leash walking, and knows sit, down, touch, focus, wait, leave it & stay. He's fully crate trained and fully house trained! His separation anxiety is mild- cries/barks about 3-5 minutes when his foster mom leaves the house. He will have ability to move to free range. If you have a yard it needs to be fully fenced in. Here are some things we are looking for in his forever home! 1. Person(s) who can walk him regularly as he needs to lose weight, loves his walks, loves the car, and good for hikes. 2. If in a family, children over the age of 7 to 10. He has no awareness how big he is and is working on his mouthy behavior. He takes good redirection but could easily knock a small child over by accident. He's also working on personal space as he likes to be next to his human at all times. 3. Cats- he's been good with his foster mom's cats but will need slow intros and a dog friendly/savvy cat. He's curious about cats but has totally positive body language and will redirect with a leave it or a down command. 4. Dogs- he would do great with a brother or sister as he loves to play with dogs. He's a rough and tumble dog play style. Good for a dog over 35lbs only due to his size. He's played with his foster siblings in the house and has great disengagement, and pro social dog play . 5. Leash work- he has great loose leash walking , shows interest about dogs but has a solid leave it for dogs (seems to be past training) no issues with humans on leash. He has started clicker training. 6. Toys- he is definitely a dog that needs strong rough toys like kong, west paw , or extreme chew toys. No stuffed toys. 7. Health- needs to lose weight, was heartworm + but has completed all of his HW meds and is on moderate exercise right now.
