Height: 15.1 HH Location: Lake View Terrace, California Paloma is a very sweet girl who had a rough life. Her current owner rescued her from an abusive neighbor. Underweight and worked hard, the neighbor rode her beyond her means causing a navicular cyst in her right front foot. She had very little hoof care and possibly an abscess shown by irregular hoof growth. At some point her tongue was cut, but has healed with an obvious scar. Whatever happened to her in her past has left her with some emotional baggage that she has mostly overcome, though she does crib when stressed. Her current owner has done the best that they can with her, but did not realize the rehab that she would need to bring her back to being comfortable. As first time horse owners, they knew they could only make her happy up to a point, but cannot give her the life they know she deserves. She is very willing to do anything that you ask, but since riding has never been pleasurable for her, it is not something that she wants to do at this time. When I asked her what she wanted to do, she said she wanted to be an emotional therapy horse, since she has been through so much, and wants to teach people how to overcome their fear and pain like she has. She is good with other horses, children, and animals including dogs. Her discomfort is minor, and can be managed with proper diet, proper trimming, and some therapeutic boots. Paloma needs a home where she will be valued for the amazing soul that she is. She is a flower waiting to bloom! Don't miss out on this amazing girl!
