About Camila

Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Camila is an unbelievably sweet and loving dog. She loves to cuddle up on the couch with her humans. She is incredibly patient. She also loves being outside and loves running back and forth in the yard, trying to 'catch' the birds that are flying a half-mile above her. She loves going on walks and being in the sun. She's very gentle most of the time, but occasionally she forgets that she's so strong. She's very smart and has a wonderfully sweet and sassy personality. Camila has so much love to give and loves to give sweet kisses all the time. Her nickname is 'cinnamon donut' because she'll curl up in a tight little ball for a nap and looks like an adorable cinnamon donut. Feel free to check out her instagram page for more pictures. https://www.instagram.com/adopt_camila/ She will require someone that has some experience with training dogs, however. She has a few behavioral issues. She has lived with kids and cats and dogs before she came to me, but my observation is that she loves to chase cats and she has a little dog reactivity. I would suggest doing very slow introductions so as to not stress her out. I've worked with her a lot to help with her reactivity and anxiety but the pandemic has made it tricky to socialize her. She'll thrive best in a home where she has a yard to run around and someone who is willing to be patient and put in work to help her reach her full potential. She's a bit of an escape artist and can reach her threshold quickly when she's outside and there's lots of stimulation.
