About Jace

Weimaraner mix
Age: Young Adult

Hello out there. Let me introduce myself, my name is Jace, I'm a 2 year old, Weimaraner mix, used to be a southern boy till I became a Nebraskan Husker%BD'%BD|and guess what I am now being fostered by Husker Weim Rescue, Inc. How's that for a sign! Of course, being from the south when I ended up in the rescue there, they found I had a light case of heartworms. Some great rescue people let the Husker Weim volunteers know what was going on & here I am, an official Husker! During my time with my foster family, they found I needed some guidance. I gobbled my food, they found when they fed me a little bit at a time and I slowed down eating & was able to fill my tummy. I wasn't thrilled being kenneled but there are times it was ok. During dinner time I would sit in my kennel while my foster family ate, of course with the door open. Do you have a robotic vacumm? I sure kept my family entertained, that robotic thing kept moving around so I ran over and bopped it with my paw then took off, just in case it chased me. Nope it didn't that thing had a mind of it's own. I loved hanging with my foster dad. After work we sat in the recliner cuddling, sleeping & maybe snoring. Evening time I can get the zoomies then foster mom works on me to calm down cause after that I can get snuggle time with her. Car rides used to be scary, but my foster mom let me help take the kids to school & pick them up. I also got to run a lot of errands around town with her. Did I also tell you I tried to be in training to be a trash inspector? My foster mom said it wasn't a legit job (I'm not sure what that meant), so I found another way to keep myself occupied%BD'%BD|.going back to that robotic vacuum thing. I have hung out with my older fur foster sister, but she wasn't up to playing very much. We just lay together once & a while. My foster mom said a bird in the backyard with me was not good for the bird. My hunting instincts kicked in. Of course, that will also mean no to cats and little dogs. I would say I would love to be the apple of my forever family's eye, hoping to have all the attention for me. If you wander over to huskerweimrescue.com, you will find their adoption application. Feel free to fill it out so that we can meet. Who knows we could fall in love together.
