This spectacularly sweet and special 2-year old came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray. Woody is a handsome little dude who would win the 'Best Eyes' superlative in any high school yearbook (those lustrous sparkles!), but it was immediately obvious that Woody hasn't been exposed to all that life has to offer. Don't worry, it didn't take him long to figure out how to enjoy family living in his foster home. Woody is a shy and sensitive guy who warms up quickly and is a social and energetic pup. He will gladly work for food and hasn't met a treat he didn't like. Woody walks nicely on leash and has an innocently inquisitive nature as he opens up his bright and luminescent eyes to the new and improved world around him. Woody has a playful and lighthearted personality. He enjoys running around the fenced yard at his foster home and will even entertain himself by tossing toys in the air. And while this shy guy is always up for playing, he is equally proficient at settling in front of the TV for some quality binge-watching'|a pandemic necessity. Like the softest vintage cowboy doll, he will gently snuggle up for hours. We think he deserves to have all the comforts of home (and more!) as he forges a new path forward. Woody is generally fearful of new experiences and needs loving and patient encouragement. He can be shy when meeting new people, but warms up nicely (with lots of snuggling to follow!). He has been nervous with the many new noises in his foster home. Vacuums and hairdryers can be very scary when you've never seen such a thing. But he is getting used to his new 'normal' in record time. We think his perfect family would be quiet and consistent, would play with him and take him for walks, and help him overcome his fears in a relaxed way. In other words, they would treat him as a valuable member of the family and patiently love him. In return, they would see that Woody is an easy dog who has sooooo much love to give! Woody would likely enjoy being the only dog in the home (cats unknown), with scheduled play dates for fun and excitement. Don't worry - he has more than enough love. And due to his size and lack of history, older kids would be best.
