About Fellicity

Adoption Fee: $325
Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

My name is Felicity and I am an absolute sweetheart. Anyone who comes into contact with me just adores me! The top three words my foster parents use to describe me are spunky, lovable, and smart. I'm only 2 years old so I have lots of energy that I like to use to go exploring and running, but I also love snuggles and naps with my humans. I'm great with all people and even kids, but I'm still learning how to show my excitement without jumping up for hugs. I'm good with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and I love play time at the doggy park, although I am still learning how to be gentle with smaller pups. At home though, I like to be the queen and need to be an only dog. I just love to love on my humans and it's hard for met to share your attention. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I love trotting/running and am still working on slowing down and walking next to my fosters. I'm still learning some manners but my foster parents say that I'm very intelligent and am picking up on learning commands really quickly! I know sit, shake, lay down, stay, and 'leave it' which is mostly used when I try to chase squirrels. I am fully housebroken - I'll stand and wait at the door when I have to go! I don't use a crate when I'm left home alone and I can be trusted not to chew anything or be destructive in any way. I do have a medical condition that makes it a little harder for me to digest my food, but I have a new chair that I sit in while I eat and I'm getting really good at using it! Even though I'm a special needs dog, I'm sure to steal your heart with my big blue eyes, my goofy personality, and my unconditional cuddles and kisses. Medical information: She has a Megaesophagus which is a mouthful to say, but it is easy to understand when you break it down. Dogs who have megaesophagus have an enlarged (mega) esophagus. The esophagus is a muscular tube that connects the mouth and the stomach. It contracts to push food and water down into the stomach as part of the digestive process. With megaesophagus, this becomes enlarged and unable to do its job. This causes food and water to accumulate in the esophagus and eventually leads to regurgitation. This disorder, if not treated, can cause issues from weight loss to aspiration pneumonia. The ONLY difference is that she has to eat in her Bailey chair. Once she finishes eating her food, she needs to stay on it for 10-15 minutes. This is what helps her stop regurgitating and therefore she can maintain a healthy weight. Spayed, up to date on vaccines & microchipped. Adoption Fee: $325.00 Adopt at: https://www.huskyhavenfl.org/felicity
