About Roka

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. Children should be at least six years of age. 5 year old male Chihuahua mix, about 12 pounds. Roka is a charming middle-aged fellow with lots of love to give. Roka likes playing with toys, giving kisses, and lying outside in the sunshine. He is looking for a home with lots of blankets to burrow under, and he will be happiest sleeping under the covers with you at night. Are you looking for a lap dog? Roka's your guy! He will jump into your lap whether he's been invited or not. Roka is still working on his leash manners, and walks with him can be an adventure. He is working on a bit of leash reactivity as things going by are very exciting! The rest of the time, he will prance along and trick you into thinking he is a perfect little gentleman. Roka currently lives with other dogs of all sizes, but cats are unknown. He loves having human visitors and would probably be okay with respectful, older children. Roka might need a refresher on potty training, but he promises he is worth the extra effort. Roka is an easy dog to fall in love with, and he can't wait to cuddle his new person! Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
