Oliver is a wonderful pure bred shar pei that I've owned since he was 6 weeks old. Hes 6 years old now. I have to rehome him. He has had problems with agression. Never towards me. 90% of the time he is amazing. He is great off leash and loved to run and play with other dogs at the park. Previously he has only been agressive towards strangers, usually only growling. However recently he has been agressive towards my family and tried to bite one of them. He can be territorial over his own food if strangers are around. I need someone who does not have kids and is experienced with training and owning dogs. He is really wonderful and I dont want to give him up but I dont know what else to do. He is sweet and loving and all around an amazing dog. However shar pei are known for agressive genetics and I've found I'm unable to train him. Because of his recent agression towards family members, they want me to give him up for adoption. He deserves better than a shelter or euthanization. I hope he can find the right owner. If you choose to adopt him and things dont work out, I will take him back as I love this dog very much and have had him since he was little.
