Bear is looking for someone new to love. His owner became homeless so gave him to me to foster. He really is a bear, a teddy bear. He loves to snuggle. One of my favorite things about him is that he has a soft gentle snort. He does it when he is happy. It's like an audio hug! He loves to sleep with you or sleep in his crate. Bear has had some big changes in his life but has handled them all like a trooper. The first thing was a trip to the vet. They LOVED him! Even when he was getting poked and prodded, he was gentle and happy with everyone. He is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. Bear weighs 52lbs. The vet, the vet's office staff, and our groomer all think he is a Shar Pei/Husky mix. He is 5. Bear is housebroken and crate trained. Bear is smart. He learned the rules of the house and how to use the dog door really quick. Well, no one is perfect, not even Bear. Bear loves children and cats but he doesn't want to share them. He needs his own people so Bear must be the only dog in the house. Bear would do best in a home with a female or a gentle couple. He is protective and doesn't respond well to alpha men. He was adopted and the couple adorated him. Bear didn't like the roommate (an authoritative man) so they tearfully returned him. Bear loves car rides. He is a joyful boy when we go out on walks. He loves toys. I need to find a good home for him soon. He doesn't get along with one of my dogs so he has to be kept separate. He loves our walks but he is lonely. Bear is located in the Charlotte NC area.
