About Travis

Meet Travis! Travis is a 1 year old Australian Kelpie mix. Travis has come a long way since being pulled from a shelter. He's a very independent soul that would much rather be on patrol outside than be inside. This boy can chew his way out of the toughest kennel. When he is comfortable around you, he's quite the talker! He's great with the other dogs, the barn cat and his foster parents. He's good on a leash. He's a very sweet dog once he trusts and would likely do fine with children with a slow introduction as he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. A person with working dog experience is best. He will require a fenced in yard as well. Travis is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and kept on monthly flea/tick/hw preventatives. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Hays, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. We do allow out of state adoptions, however qualified in state applications will be given preference. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
