About Baylee

Baylee is being fostered in ROME GA.She is a one year old, 44 lbs. blue heeler mix. She is a very smart, energetic girl that just loves to be on the go with you! She can get pretty wiggly and excitable if you start 'baby talkin' her or rough-housing with her, but she does know how to walk nicely on a leash now and LOVES a good long walk - or jog if you're up for it! She also LOVES water and will play in a sprinkler or hose you spray for her for hours! Baylee plays well with our male dogs and she may do fine with humble female dogs, but has shown some territorial/reactive behavior towards another female dog we have here. We think it is mostly a 'barrier issue' as she can get pretty excitable when on leash and seeing another dog or when another dog approaches from the other side of a fence. As smart as Baylee is, I think she can overcome this with more consistent exercise and socialization and having her own person to bond with and trust. We would not recommend a home with small children, small dogs, or cats as she has a high prey drive. We do think she would be happy with being an only dog and being able to have 'her human' all to herself, but also think she could do well in a home with just the right type of doggie siblings. Baylee is the type that takes a moment to warm up to you at first, but then once she knows you are a friend she melts into you for loves and snuggles. She awaits an active individual or family that enjoys the outdoors and understands her breed. Baylee is up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative, potty and crate trained.
