Please know that we will ask for a vet reference. Sky is a BEAUTIFUL, sweet dog who was returned to the breeder from her adoptive family because they were no longer able to care for her. The breeder wants to find her a safe and loving home. Does anyone have room for this cute girl?! Name: Sky Age: Born on 12/26/2019 Breed: Husky Sex: Female (Spayed - not yet confirmed) Location: Austin, MN Vet Info: Sky is spayed and UTD on vaccines (not yet confirmed). She developed glaucoma at 8 months old. Her owner reports that she is in good health otherwise. She weighs about 40 pounds. Owner Info: Sky's owner (the breeder) took her back in when the adoptive family could no longer care for her. Her owner shared, 'We had a litter of puppies about a year ago and they all came out fine. But after about six months with no signs one of the families we gave the puppy to started to develop glaucoma in both eyes and she is now completely blind. We have several rescue dogs ourselves and two kids with another on the way. I just don't think we'll have the time it takes for her to get the attention and love she needs. We are taking the puppy back since we have her mom and dad here and plenty of yard. It's just the individual attention I think will be the problem.' Sky is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is housebroken and leash trained. She is a little shy and can be nervous at times. The owner reports that she is good with his children. She also lives with 10 other dogs. Her owner told us, 'She's been introduced to our dogs and my 3 year old and my 7 month old. She is skittish around the dogs but she's good with my kids. Not sure about cats though. I just want her to go to a good home. We just have too many dogs here. I'm nervous because she was so playful when she had her sight but now she tries to be but bumps into stuff.' She is not possessive of treats, food, or toys and has not shown aggression toward the other dogs or people. Sky's owner feels she will adapt well to a new family and home environment. Her owner just wants to find her a loving home to go to as she is a wonderful dog with so much love to give! **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
