About Balto

Balto is a sweet pupp-o looking for a new family to take care of him. Balto has come to us due to an unfortunate family circumstance but he is putting his best smile on for a new family to scoop him up! Balto is a sweet little pittie who just wants your attention and will happily take any extra belly rubs you have to spare. Balto will save you 100$/year on your Ring doorbell subscription, as he will promptly let you know when your property is disturbed. Balto has excellent manners playing with other pups! Balto will need a family that will be patient with him while he is adjusting. Balto can be nervous, especially with men. While Balto responds well to correction, yelling scares him and he will need someone who can correct him without losing their temper or being too loud. Balto just needs to learn how to trust again, he has been taken away from his comfort zone and does not quite know what to do with it. Balto does okay with cats. He is curious about them and may poke at them a little, but when corrected he will leave them alone. Balto does wonderfully walking with a gentle leader leash! Balto does not show too much reaction to people or dogs on his walk, but boy does he love a good walk! Balto has not had any potty accidents with his foster family. He will even grumble at the door to let you know he needs some potty time. Balto isn't a big fan of the vet or getting his nails trimmed. Balto may even need to be sedated for vet visits, he is not a fan of being poked and proded, but who is? Balto does not like crates if he is alone in them. When his people are there, Balto will use it as a safe place and hang out, but alone he is not a huge fan of them. Balto's foster family has been letting him stay out of the crate when they leave and he has not shown any destructive tendencies. Balto is a counter surfer, so his family will want to be careful about what could be in reach! Balto LOVES car rides. He will happily hang out the window to catch some breeze and smells! Balto knows sit, down and speak and is working on learning other tricks as well! Balto is a smart little guy, and picks up on things very quickly! Balto just started some medications for sensitive skin and allergies which he will likely need long term. Balto is up to date on shots, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $100.
