About Rinky

Can you imagine being abandoned at four weeks old and spending the equivalent of 2 years in an orphanage? That is the unfortunate story of Rinky and his family. Found as a puppy with his eyes barely open at three weeks old with two siblings and mom, they spent three months in a cold shelter. Life turned for them and they all came up to PA for a new and better life. Rinky is a four month old terrier mix, weighing 19 lbs. This handsome brindle is house trained and crate trained. Rinky loves playing with dogs but does best with 20+ lb dogs. He has not been around cats. While he has met young kids, he prefers the lap of a stationary human who will give him snuggles and pets. Rinky would love to join your family. He is current on vaccines and cuddled on his soft blanket in Harrisburg, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
