This stunning kitty is Jonas, a sweet Turkish Van mix. He is, we think, about 1- to 12 months old. (2/13/21). He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. He was abandoned when his people moved away and left him behind. Jonas is comfortable with cat friendly dogs and cat friendly young children. He is very friendly and affectionate and love to be brushed. Jonas can travel along the 1-35 in Texas for a small donation with one of our rescue partners. He is more than ready for a new, forever home. Turkish Van kitty are known to be calm, laid back and generally sweet natured, all of which apply to Jonas. To adopt him, 3 personal references and one veterinary reference are needed; a completed adoption application and a signed adoption contract. Donation towards care and costs for Jonas is $200. Out of state adopters are welcome to apply if they have transportation to where they live or can fly to Austin or San Antonio to pick him up. Out of state adopters need to obtain an interstate health certificate as mandated by law ($103). If adopting two kittens they can often be on the same Interstate Health Certificate. SOS will facilitate the health certificate and meet at the airport for a small donation towards fuel and airport parking.
