About Thunder

German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Thunder - A Classically Handsome Male German Shepherd Children: Good with older children Dogs: Social but best in no dog household Cats: No Fenced Yard: Preferred Not Required Experience: Must have prior big dog or GSD Experience You will truly be 'Thunderstruck' when you meet this big boy. Thunder is exactly what you would expect in a well-bred German Shepherd. With his classic looks, he could be on the cover of any German Shepherd book. Thunder isn't just a handsome face. He is extremely intelligent, friendly, and enjoys playing. Thunder recently turned 5 years old and is in the prime of his life. Thunder is well socialized, having lived with 5 children of various ages and spending time with human friends. Currently in our owner referral program, Thunder's owner is looking for loving and German Shepherd experienced family for Thunder. He is a very big, about 100 pounds and sometimes can jump too much when excited, so he would best with a home with children over 7, just so he doesn't accidentally knock the young ones down. Thunder walks well on a leash and has had some basic obedience training. He has also been trained on an e-collar for an electric fence. Thunder tends to ignore other dogs on walks, though based on his size would probably do best in a home without other animals. Since Thunder is still intact, we will be adopting him out on a neuter contract, where the adopter will agree to have Thunder neutered. There will be a $150 REFUNDABLE deposit with the contract. Thunder is still with his owner located in the Lehigh Valley area, so logistics may play a role in matching up with suitable adopters. If you are interested in finding out more about Thunder, including the possibility of being part of our foster to adopt program please email us at [email protected] or fill out an adoption application.
