About Sky

Sky is a 10 year old 10 pound pom that is ready for adoption, but with her she needs the right home which will take time to find and we wanted to get the word out. Hold onto you hats this bio will be a wild ride for this precious girl! Sky is a beautiful senior Pomeranian that lures you in with her looks of beauty, innocence, and soulful eyes just to try to make you her snack. She was surrendered to a shelter who promptly sought rescue due to Sky's diva attitude. She paces in circles which we feel is her way to contain her inner vampire while plotting the demise of her foster pawrents. It's possible she was contained to crate as a display piece due to her beauty while never being touched due to her vicious nature, like a lioness displayed at the zoo. They must have gotten tired of cleaning up after her while likely being injured during the attempts as she was covered in mats and wounds on her paws from living in her own excrement. Sky suckered us in with her gorgeous looks only to show us she was the ruler of her domain. Not only does Sky have behavior issues, but she also has the dreaded Pommy cough. She takes a handful of meds twice a day to treat her coughing and tries to make your hand part of her meal while giving her medications. Her and her foster momma have come to an understanding after six weeks that when a blanket comes out, she is to submit but that doesn't stop her from trying to get a nip in. Sky does not discriminate of who will be her next victim. Her foster momma has been the main care giver while her foster dad runs from her with fear of being eaten. Sky does live in peace with the other foster dogs in her home. We fear she may threaten their well-being while no one is looking because the dogs part way to make a path for Sky as she struts around. It looks like Moses parting a path between dogs for Sky to prance thru while the crowd of her subjects look on at the almighty queen. Sky uses pees pads for potty time because she only graces the outdoors with her presence when it's the perfect temperature and amount of light. Unfortunately, this preference can vary from week to week. Her eyes have a red tint to them which we had thoroughly checked for any eye issues, but they are perfectly healthy, so we submitted to the fact that the red hue is her true inner evil showing thru. The only time Sky becomes a loving pom is in the car. She must fear that we are going to discard her like she has been in the past because she will crawl on your lap and paw your hand for pets. Then she goes right back to her old self as soon as she is home again. We are convinced she has the Pom version of the Jekyll and Hyde personality. Sky is a beloved foster girl and we are hoping there is a home out there that wants to love her and her crazy ways. Sky only bites when she is touched or handled so if you are looking for an expensive pom that needs ongoing medical care and expensive meds while never showing appreciation for all you do for her then Sky is the perfect dog for you!
