About Faith

Faith is a 7 year old, 7 pound female Chihuahua that had been in the Laredo Animal Control. Shortly after placed in the facility, she had 5 puppies in a dry water bowl. It was one of our cold days in December and there were no indoor kennels, so she lost 2 pups. Laredo reached out to rescues for help and we chose Faith. On her way to San Antonio by transport, she lost another pup. When reached us, the remaining pups were very inactive and we were not able to save them. We took her to the vet and she was found to be hw positive. Through the stress of of being in the cold, taken to ACS, transported to unknown location, being heartworm positive, and having 5 puppies die, she has endured and thrived. After being treated for heartworms she was placed with an awesome foster that helped her through her post heartworm recovery and become a wonderful companion. She is extremely loving and loves to sit/sleep on your lap. She will follow you everywhere and rarely barks. She is housebroken, walks on a leash, and will sleep in a kennel at night. She gets along with dogs and probably would not bother cats. Small children would not be recommended, because of her size and age.
