About Lulu & Rosie

Rosie and Lulu are a bonded pair of Blue Merle Aussie gals; they must be adopted together. They will be 3 years old in June. Rosie is a Double Merle (DM) that means that as a result of poor breeding practices, two merles were bred together and had babies. She is deaf and has limited vision. She can see, and is far sighted; she cannot see things up close. Lulu has no impairments with her ears or eyes and is ROsie's sidekick. They are inseparable. They are happy, loving, affectionate girls that are very treat motivated and eager to please. They learn quickly and are very smart. They are being fostered with many other pups and get along well with other dogs. They love to play with other dogs and play with people as well. Both have a high prey drive so NO CATS! These two girls LOVE attention from their humans. They have their master's degrees in potty and crate training and like their crates. They are fed in their crates and sleep in their crates at night. They love to chew on nylabones and love belly rubs from their foster momma. They love to chase squirrels and birds and rough house in the yard. As far as training, Rosie knows some sign language, her foster mom uses words and hand signals at the same time for sits and downs. She is super eager to learn more! Rosie also likes to dig, so her foster mom got her a kiddie pool with sand in it and has taught her to dig in that instead of in the yard. SMART! SMART! SMART! :P These girls are so SMART they would love to learn more and do rally or agility. Their foster mom says they would be AUSSOME at a doggie sport because they are so eager to please their humans. Rosie, aka as Nosey Rosie, and Rose Marie is the instigator, always likes to be busy. She will do 'play nips' with the other pups to get them to play like the herding pup she is. Her foster mom says medium energy for an Aussie. She would LOVE hiking, long walks and learning more about the world around her. She is very shy and timid without Lulu by her side. Lulu, aka LuluBelle, likes to play fetch with balls and she likes to 'kill' her toys by destuffing them; it brings her so much joy. She is Rosie's protector and confidence. They have done some leash training but could use a lot more. Rosie, if by herself, will cower around humans, if she is with Lulu, she will walk right next to her with her head high. They would love to be the only pups in the home and have all the attention for themselves, but wouldn't mind a boy sibling. Lulu can be selective with other girl dogs. Rosie and Lulu are spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworm.
