WYLIE - ID#1618708 Riverside Shelter, Riverside, So Cal https://petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=RVSD.A1618708 Wylie (the name we gave him) is an adorable 1.5 yr old male shepherd that has been at the shelter since 4/10/21. Per the shelter, 'we are currently seeking rescue for the boy. He is so cute and when approached at the kennel he wants you to look at his boo boo on his paw, just like the picture below.' He has not been dog tested but cooperative with the vet staff team. Medical notes: 'None weightbearing on the right front leg. Bony thickening is evident in the elbow area, and there is muscle atrophy in the triceps and shoulder area, indicating chronicity. The elbow is fixed in flexion and cannot be extended; the carpus cannot be flexed. Multiple small scars are visible on skin of right forearm, and large/moist pressure sores are present on palmar surface of elbow and dorsal surface of 4th and 5th digits. Old/chronic injury is suspected. Injury likely involved the elbow or distal humerus. Amputation is recommended to ease ambulation. Thank you!'
