About Hazel The One Eyed Won

Hazel is an awesome 7 year old, 30 lb 'pocket pitt' mix who was rescued from a kill shelter on her last day when she was less than a year old. She has been with us since. Hazel must find a new home where she is either the ONLY dog or the very SMALLEST dog as she has an aversion to older, slower, smaller dogs and is not to be safe alone with them. HOWEVER, she is a great travel companion, a lovebug and an awesome tennis player. Ball chasing is her absolute favorite activity and she loves nothing more than being with her person. She will be a great companion and a protector. I noted she is high energy, but only when she is at play. After that burst of ball playing, she is ready for cuddles and a nap. Hazel only has one eye and is missing teeth on one side (we are not sure if it was past abuse, a car hit, or genetic). She is in excellent health, fully vetted and never had puppies. She also is fully crate trained, is a low shedder and has no food sensitivities. We are able to meet at a local dog park so you can interact with her and watch her play ball. Near Raleigh, NC.
