About Sarge

Hello my name is Sarge.I was found as a stray roaming some county roads in Montgomery County NC when I was picked up and taken to the shelter. That place was a loud scary place and I was there for several weeks and nobody wanted me. The ladies there loved me but my time was up they said. My rescue was contacted and they tagged me for rescue and I was picked up the very next day. I was so happy to go for a car ride and eat an apple but had no idea where I was going. I ended up at doggie daycare for a little bit and then my foster family offered to take me in since I had some dental issues that needed to be addressed. I found a foster home and was able to have my vetting done. I had one tooth pulled and my rescue also had my teeth cleaned. Boy they sure do feel good now and they are pearly white. I am 2 years old per my shelter paperwork but the vet said he felt like I was around 7 years old but I sure don't act like it. I had a complete checkup, was neutered, heart worm tested and microchipped. I am also heart worm negative! I love my foster home and do well with my senior foster brother but their cat doesn't like me and he was there first so I need to find a home. I have never had any issues with Charlie my foster brother but I went on a trial adoption and I didn't like the resident dog. My rescue and my foster feels like it was the resident dog because I am so sweet and nice to Charlie. I came back to my foster mom and now with her waiting on someone to choose me so I will have my real forever home. I am such a sweet boy completely housetrained and love people and children. I'm very smart and know some basic commands. I keep getting overlooked and I feel like it's because I am seven years old but believe me I do not look or act seven. I just want my very own home where I know that's where I will be forever, have someone to love and play with me and take care of me for the rest of my life.
