About Blade

Blade is a shy but sweet 2 year old chihuahua/spaniel mix looking for his forever home. Blade currently weighs 18 pounds and is full grown. He was originally found as a stray and we got him from the county shelter. Blade needs a slow introduction with new people to move slow with him as well. He quickly warms up and seeks out attention. Blade was found with another dog and gains a lot of confidence from being around other dogs. He will need a home that has an established and confident canine companion that will show him the ropes. He will need to meet with the other dog(s) in the home before adoption. Blade has done well with men and women, however we do not know if he has ever been around children. We do recommend older due to his shy nature at first. He will need to meet with every person in the home before adoption to make sure he is comfortable before going home! He is housebroken and good on a leash, he is a smart boy that will learn a lot once he's comfortable in his new environment! Blade is seeking a home that will show him patients, but active enough to keep up with his energy that makes and appearance once he's comfortable! Blade is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption fee of $280 includes a complementary vet exam. To potentially adopt him, come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 10 people in the building at a time.
