About Georgie

Georgie is looking for a very special family. Georgie is an American Staffordshire Terrier. He is 2 1/2 years old. He is high energy so would do well with a family that will take him on hikes/running. Georgie needs a secure, safe backyard for him to run and play. He loves all people, but no cats/small animals. He has not been around dogs since quarantine, so may be dog selective. He is VERY smart-knows sit, stay, lay down, paw, high five, show me your belly, crawl, spin, in, and off. He loves when you fill his rubber bone with wet food. He jumps on people when excited but not aggressively. He gets excited and will bark at the doorbell/knock. He loves the water, so he loves baths but will try to eat the towel afterwards. Georgie would be best in a home with children over 8 or 9 years old because he can get excited and could knock them down. Georgie loves toys, but he should only have hard toys and good home management to ensure he doesn't try to eat soft toys, socks, paper, etc.. He has acid reflux and is currently taking famotidine. He is allergic to most proteins and is on a prescription diet (Hills Z/D prescription diet)-he does enjoy green beans, banana's, carrots, zucchini. He has a heart murmur that just needs to be monitored at this time-no medication.
