About Margot

Adoption Fee: $275
Plott / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Margo Margo and her siblings (Lucy and Tango) were rescued from a high-kill shelter. Margo is a lovely young dog at six months old. Margo is thought to be a Labrador Retriever/Plott hound mix with beautiful face. We don't know what these puppies went through early on, but it wasn't good. Margo is still fairly shy as a result. When she first meets someone she hits the ground and crawls on her belly. This is a submissive reaction and it usually means that someone mistreated her and broke her confidence. But that said, our staff and trainers are working with Margo and her siblings to build their confidence. Once she feels safe, Margo is super sweet, friendly and loving. She enjoys running and playing in the yard with her brother and sister. She and Lucy are often found rolling around in the sunshine and having a ball. Margo likes other dogs as well. She will shyly greet them and makes friends easily. She also does well with kitties. Margo, like her siblings, are of athletic breeds. She will do best in an active family where she is part of the activities. She will not want to be left behind. Margo is learning to walk on a leash. It terrified her at first, but with time and patience, she is beginning to understand that a leash means a walk'|and she enjoys walking and being out of her kennel. Margo has a pure heart and a heartbreaking innocence about her. She has a gentle demeanor and will thrive with a person or family who understands that she'll continue to blossom with kindness and patience. She doesn't require extensive training, just gentle guidance to help build her confidence. Margo is a gem. And, every day, she shows us more of her silly and fun puppy personality. We love her and her siblings so much. To watch them blossom is incredible.
