About Creed

Meet Creed Creed is a gorgeous Boxer/Plott hound mix. We rescued him from a high-kill shelter along with his housemate Lulu. Creed has a handsome face with a laughing expression. He's an upbeat, friendly dog. He's about a year old. He LOVES being with people and makes all sorts of funny noises to get your attention. His tail goes a mile a minute when he sees his people. He loves being out of his kennel! To be put away just breaks his heart. He likes other dogs, especially his friend, Lulu. He does fine with cats. Creed is 55 lbs. He doesn't realize how big he is as he tries to sit on your lap for a good snuggle. He knows how to use his puppy-dog eyes to get some treats and attention. Creed is learning how to walk on a leash. He is a bit of a puller, but he's just so interested in everything and the wonders of what's around him. He's energetic, but not overly so. Boxers and Plotts need their exercise to keep them happy and healthy. Making sure he gets his exercise will be important. He'd do best with an active family. He'd be a good hiking companion or running buddy, but we think he'll also make for a chill companion at appropriate times. Creed is a really good dog. He's a big loveable teddy bear. We've all fallen for him and we know that whoever meets him will fall for him too. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
