About Nemo

American Bobtail / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

***HURRICANE IDA DISPLACED CAT*** Please read about Nemo below: Please meet Nemo...a neutered male kitty. He is currently approximately 1-1/2 years old. Nemo is neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, and microchipped. Nemo is on a special, prescription, dry food diet, which is Hill's Science Diet C/D food for urinary stress. The special food keeps his condition completely under control. Nemo is not a marker and does not have accidents, but when the urinary stress first presented, he had a difficult time urinating. He would frequent the litter box, without success. That's when we took him in to be checked out and found out what the culprit was. Since then, we have not introduced him to any new cats. He would most likely do best in a home as an only cat. Since the time he has been on the prescription food (approx. 6 months ago), he has not had any issues whatsoever. We have Nemo listed as a Japanese Bobtail. His tailed is not completely 'bobbed', however it is not the usual, longer length and it also completely curls into a circle. We named him Nemo because of his 'special' tail, as in Nemo, the animated fish, with a 'special' fin. ***PLEASE NOTE- Nemo is currently being fostered in Louisiana, with transport available to most parts of the New England area. For more info. or to apply to adopt, please email her foster mom at [email protected]. Donations - Sponsors needed !!! Nemo is a kitty that is being fostered in South Louisiana. His foster family (along with 18 foster animals, including Nemo), evacuated for Hurricane Ida. Nemo's foster family home is uninhabitable due to storm damage. Nemo, along with his foster family's other rescue/fosters had to go into boarding as there are no other current options for housing these displaced rescued animals. If you would like to help out in the form of a donation, please visit HOPE for Animals' website at: www.hopeforanimals.com. On the homepage, select, 'Ways to Help' and then click 'donate'. If you would like your donation to go specifically towards Nemo's boarding, vet care, etc., please notate for Nemo's care. Thank you, in advance!!!
