About Reba

Adoption Fee: 250
Australian Shepherd
Age: Puppy

Reba is a one year old mini Aussie who is deaf and blind due to merle to merle breeding. Despite her lack of vision and hearing she gets around pretty well after mapping out her environment. She was adopted out to a family in January of this year but unfortunately it didn't work out for her. She needs a home with more calm dogs that will be patient with her while she learns the ropes in her new home. Reba is a very energetic girl and she loves to play outside. You'll want to limit her outside play time as she does show signs of a compulsive disorder when left alone. Our trainer believes the move to her new home in January of these year triggered Canine Compulsive Disorder which causes her to be overstimulated at times. She is now on medications to help her relax and she is showing signs of improvement. She struggles to trust higher energy dogs due to some issues she had in her previous home. She does very well with dogs that are out of their puppy stage and are more relaxed. She will take some time to adjust into her new environment and flourish. She needs a very patient foster to adopt home that will help her gain confidence in her new environment and continue with her treatment of CCD. We will cover all medical expenses including her medications while she's in her foster to adopt home. She truly deserves the world and I know there has to be a family out there somewhere that has it in their heart to help her flourish. She's so soft and loves to get pets. She's very friendly to people and would do best with kids that are a little older so they would understand her impairments more. If you'd like to apply to foster to adopt sweet Reba please send me message. She deserves the world and I know someone out there will give that to her. Why foster to adopt? Fostering to adopt will allow time for you to ensure your home environment is the right fit for Reba. We prefer fostering to adopt for this very reason. We will be able to help you with her along the way and also have a trainer help you if needed.
