About Ken

Siberian Husky / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Ken, a stunning majestic husky/shepherd young boy who is looking for his forever home to call his own! Ken has a pair of soulful striking golden eyes, very expressive! He is about 18 months old, a big boy, around 65-70lbs. who loves other dogs of his size (no small dogs). Ken is a very sweet natured boy, He is cuddly and affectionate. We were told by the shelter that he's wearing of men, and did much better with women. Ken has been cared by his foster family for less than a week, and he has made remarkable progress! Here's what his foster mom has to say about him: He's doing awesome! He's such a smart dog and improving everyday. My boyfriend and Ken get along really well now and can even go on walk together by themselves. He is really clingy and sometimes gets anxious when he didn't see me (like when I go to the bathroom). However he trusted us so quickly and shows his belly up already! I think once he is treated well, he shows attachment to people pretty quick Here are some more things we discover about him: - He is well potty trained, always pees and poos on grass - About fear of men: He is only scared of men coming 'towards' him and will bark, but reacting ok when men just passing by (like delivery guy, man biking or jogging, even fine with a group of men walking by) - He is pretty sensitive to any movement when eating and easily gets scared, but never has food aggression - He understands 'no' and usually doesn't do the same thing twice! Really smart - We still don't know if he gets along with dogs. He's always SUPER hyper when seeing little dogs and more calm when seeing dogs of his size. We once let him interact with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (with a really understanding female owner) but he bit the little dog suddenly for a second. The dog wasn't harmed and still wanted to play afterward so that seemed to be a playful bite, but I guess he needed to learn how to play with other dogs appropriately and maybe only with dogs of his size. (She is absolutely right! High prey drive is in the husky breed, many of them do not like small animals including cats and small dogs. We can't even trust to have them near the little ones unless we already know and trust them are good with little creatures.) Ken has been neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. Please emails us if interested.
