I rescued Athena when she was about 5 months old from a very abusive and neglectful home, she was almost starved to death when I met her. She was very fearful of men when I first took her home, and not friendly with other animals at all. My initial plan was to take her in and re-home her right after, but I fell in love with her. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and with me she has grown to like other dogs and feel a little more comfortable around people she doesn't know. She's a huge cuddle bug and LOVES squeaky toys. One thing I have not been able to master with her was potty training. It's become an issue in my home and I can't leave. Athena also just got her tail removed (4/13/21) because she was nervously biting her tail while I was working and it grew infected, She is currently healing and I plan to keep her until the healing process is complete in case of any complications. Athena deserves a loving home where she might have 1 other dog friend (bigger dogs recommended, she has shown aggression towards smaller animals), and a yard for her to play in as much as much as possible. As much as it pains me, I unfortunately cannot give her the home she deserves, and this little puppy deserves the world.
