About Sampson

'Hello ladies and gents! My name is Sampson and I'm just one seriously stunning pup that would like to find my furever home. I just know that my special someone is out there for me somewhere! I'm about 1 and 1/2 year old and am thought to be a Pit Bull / Boxer mix. I came to SVASC when my owner was no longer able to properly care for me anymore due to a change in housing. That was really the only family that I had ever known, so I was understandably a little shaken up, but I haven't let it phase me any. At a little over a year old, I am just bursting at the seems with energy and would love a family that can help me burn that off. I am a very active, young dog that will need a pretty dedicated family to help me become the best boy that I can. I never learned any manners in my previous home and that on top of my energy means that I can be quite a handful. That being said, I am also intelligent, playful, and loving, so I know that I can make a good buddy for someone! I am said to get along with other dogs, but it is important to keep in mind that I can be a lot of dog. I have a pretty rough play style and may be too much for a dog that doesn't love to play rough. SVASC always recommends that you go ahead and bring your pup with you when you come to meet me, to ensure that we will be a good match. In my previous home, I did live with kids, but because I can be pretty jumpy and mouthy, SVASC thinks that I would do best in a home without any children younger that teenagers.
