About What's Shakin' Bacon

'Hiya! My name is What's Shakin' Bacon and I just know that I'm going to be your new best pal. I came to SVASC as a stray and was never reclaimed, so now I'm looking for a family to bust me outta this shelter, so that I can get back to doing what I love, like lounging around on the couch. At about 5-6 years old, I'm pretty good at blending in with the furniture and don't require much exercise at all to be happy and content. I'm a laid back kind of pup and certainly won't complain if you get home from work and just want to put your feet up, rather than go for a jog. SVASC doesn't have too much background on me because of how I came to them, but I do seem to have some really good manners and like to keep a super clean kennel; because of this, SVASC believes that I may have lived indoors and that I might even be house-trained. When I'm around anyone, I'm always on my best behavior and try to be as polite as possible. For me, that means being gentle on the leash, being respectful of your space, and not jumping all over you. Because of this, SVASC thinks that I would probably do okay in a home with kiddos, but they do recommend that you go ahead and bring your whole family when you come to visit me. I am good with other pups, but really like those slow introductions, so that I can get to know other dogs at my own pace; please plan to bring your dog(s) with you when you come to visit. I am pretty protective over my food and other things around other dogs, so SVASC recommends that I be fed in a kennel or separate room, away from other dogs.
