About Nova

This little gem is Nova. Miss Nova is a about a year old and weighs around 55 lbs. She was adopted once and returned when she was about 7 months for being too rough with children. Nova likes to play and she doesn't know her own strength. She also always liked to play by putting your hand in her mouth. She is getting better but she still gets excited & will put her mouth over your hand to play. She does NOT bite you but some people do not like that rough play. She still needs some work on manners. She has been to a doggie behaviorist & obedience classes. She went to doggie daycare but he rough play was a lot for some of the dogs. Nova was adopted a second time and sadly is being returned again. She started showing some aggression to the current cat & dog in the house. The behaviorist believes that while Nova did great in daycare & at dog parks, she is territorial and would do better in a home with no other pets & no small children. Her current owner did stop taking her to the dog park because she started playing too rough for some dogs. She did great @ 1 on 1 play dates. She just plays so rough and a lot of dogs do not enjoy that. SHE IS SO SMART & very treat motivated. She absolutely loves to snuggle and knows lots of tricks. She enjoys exercising, tug of war, playing with balls. Typical doggie play. Her current owner says she still jumps on ppl but is getting better. Baby steps.
