About Murphy

Murphy is a 2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound, current on vaccines, neutered, house broken, great with other dogs, cats, and about 60lbs. He is HW+ but is on slow kill treatment and the rescue will provide his HW medication for however long is left of his 6 month treatment. We don't know much about Murphy's past except that he was shot and the bullet went in one side and out the other and that he wasn't treated the best. Murphy takes a while to warm up so will need a home where someone has the patience to give him time and space to get to know you; just a few days then he will be your best friend. Since Murphy is afraid of loud noises so a home with older children (12 and up) would be best. He is scared of strangers but just needs a safe place to go and he is happy. Once he gets to know his adopters he will be a great pet and member of the family. Murphy is being fostered in Chesapeake, Virginia
